rachel and derrick :: andaz san diego

I'm proud of my city -- San Diego. And when I meet couples who are not locals and plan to wed in my hometown, there's an excitement that overcomes me. Rachel and Derrick, who were married earlier this April at the Andaz San Diego, wanted to share with their family and friends what SD has to offer -- beautiful skylines, mid-70s weather, countless beaches, and relaxed locals. We were hired to help with month-of coordination and invitations/paper details. Together, R+D worked on designing their special event. They chose the perfect wedding venue to highlight the city's downtown, with a rooftop that gives a glimpse into a busy, vibrant, and social nightlife. With 75 of their dearest family and friends, R+D not only had one memorably sweet ceremony, but an awesome kick-your-heels-off kind of wedding reception! Here are some beautiful photos from their big day at the Andaz last April. These were captured by Joshua Killeen, who happened to be one of the easiest fellas to work with! xylowedding :: wood veneer invitations

Just wanted to show off these rad wedding invitations we designed for Aj and Anna Calomay. We had the pleasure of helping with design+invitations+coordination for their xylo wedding last weekend at St Joan of Arc Church and the SmogShoppe. We have lots to show you, but peep these.. these were printed on cotton rag and then mounted on wood veneer, and then triple knotted with mini rope. I love how the lined envelopes turned out!

save-the-dates :: ode to hollywood

Hope you're having a great week! We're busy working up details, linen and paper goods for our upcoming weddings, but wanted to show one of the save-the-dates we did a few months ago. Jon and Carla are getting married at the impressive Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles.

J+C are actually good friends of my husband and mine. They are a youthful, fun, and sexy couple who met in Hollywood, hence the infamous sign in back drop. The image pays homage to Hollywood, a special place where, until today, they continue to hang out. Atrero Photography took so many great photos, and it was tough to decide on the winning shot. I have so many favorites from their album. This classic, black and white save-the-date magnet was tucked into a dark blue metallic envelope and embellished with a custom designed wrap around address label. We're also in the process of designing their custom invitations, and they will be posted in the near future. We are excited to be assisting them with their wedding plans!
